The Swan on The River is an historic pub in west Berkshire, celebrating what a great pub should be. A place where you find great food, drink and conversation. Set on the River Lambourn our pub, which was once a post house for changing horses, welcomes locals and visitors alike.
Food & Drink
Our kitchen celebrates seasonal ingredients, working with trusted local suppliers wherever possible. We focus on simple British food done well, the kind of honest cooking that would have been enjoyed here when The Swan first opened in the 1750s.
Private Dining
We have a private dining room on the first floor available for lunches and dinners as well as business meetings and events.
Seating up to 20 people, our team can help create a menu that suits your occasion, using the same seasonal ingredients and thoughtful cooking you’ll find throughout The Swan.
The Café
The Swan on The River Café makes sure you’re able to get a great cup of coffee and a pastry on your way to work. More than just a pub, we’ve got the best local bakers working to give you the start to the day you need.
